The 27-year-old striker recently took in a trial with KFC Uerdingen. He is on the lookout for a new club after severing ties with Dutch outfit Sparta Rotterdam in 2017.
The former Wrexham, Crewe, Crawly and Partick Thistle frontman has been a free agent since then, with a lack of playing duties having allowed him to join sibling Pogba in toasting World Cup success over the summer.
He had hoped to kick-start his own career after taking in that triumph, but has been unable to find a team willing to take a chance on him.
Injury issues have taken their toll, with Uerdingen coach Stefan Kramer suggesting that Pogba is currently too big to be considered for competitive action.
He told reporters after turning down the chance to do a deal with the Guinea international: “Mathias has already gone. He would not have been able to improve our team.
“He is not yet in good enough shape physically.

Pogba has earned five international caps to date, while he also tasted Football League Trophy success with Crewe in 2013.
A stint at Gresty Road proved to be his most productive to date, with short stints at Pescara, Crawley, Partick and Sparta taken in since then.
