MCE Tackles Asokore Mampong Roads
GOVERNMENT has awarded contract for the construction of all dilapidated roads in the Asokore Mampong district in the Ashanti Region.
This was disclosed by the Municipal Chief Executive of the area, Hon. Alidu Seidu, at a radio encounter recently.
According to him, most of the roads in the area had virtually become un-motorable due to their deplorable state, and disclosed that the government had decided to fix those roads to ease the movement of people.
He lambasted the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for the bad state of the roads, and wondered how roads supposedly constructed by the National Democratic Congress government just three years ago could suddenly become so deplorable.
He recalled that the three-year old NDC roads started to wear off few months after they were constructed, and called it “a waste of state coffers”.
The MCE indicated that the NDC government supervised the contractors to execute shoddy work, adding that the party (NDC) doesn’t deserve to occupy the presidency.
According to him, the country always develops whenever the NPP is in political office “so we deserve to be in power”.
