Metal Gate Kills Thief

A 23-YEAR old suspected thief has died after his neck was trapped by a metal gate for hours at Anomangye in the Suame Municipality in the Ashanti region on Thursday evening.

The deceased, who was identified as Khalifah, was trying to sneak into a locked shop (to steal), when the heavy metal gate caught his neck. He must have died out of suffocation.

According to eye witnesses, the victim embarked on the ‘expedition’ with two other accomplices, who took to their heels once their leader was trapped.

The case had since been reported to the police, who conveyed the body to the morgue for preservation and autopsy.

Unconfirmed reports say the police are hunting for the two other suspects to assist in investigations.
