Midland Case: Woman deserves more beatings- Akua Donkor

Leader and founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor thinks the general public is just being unfair to the police officer and for that matter, he is victimized for simply meting out his duties and ‘protecting’ the bank from being robbed.

According to her, the woman deserves more beatings and that she is a thief who most of the time being used by criminals to spy on financial institutions.

Patience Osafo was assaulted, battered by the armed police officer on Thursday at the banking hall of the Savings and loans Company where she had gone to cash her own money she deposited.

Initial reports suggested she went to the banking hall after closing hours and was told to go and come back the following day for her money but refused and was subsequently bartered by officer Amanor.

However, reports suggested a case of panic withdrawals by the customers of the bank who fear the company was going through some cash crises.

Patience Osafo had been there earlier but was told her money was not ready. She vowed not to leave until her money had been paid. It took the battering of the policeman to drag her out of the office. A video that captured the incident has since gone viral on social media.

President of the country has condemn the act, IGP as well including more public outrage on social media but Madam Akua Donkor thinks otherwise, she has register her displeasure about what she describes as the ‘unfair’ treatment being given to the Lance Corporal Frederick Amanor after his act. Madam Donkor says she has evidence to prove that the victim, Patience is a thief who was merely posing as a desperate nursing mother just so she could observe happenings at the bank and alert her accomplice armed robbers to execute their operation when there was less activity going on at the bank.

According to her, using women as accomplices is a tactic which robbers have adopted to facilitate their operations considering that they are weaker and easier to believe and consider.

“When things are going on and you don’t know, be open to learn. Women lately negotiate with armed robbers and pull stunts on banks. She said she was withdrawing money, how much money was she taking so much so that she had to spend a week at the bank? It’s obvious she was sent by robbers, it’s what they do. Some women fake pregnancy and labour by putting clothes on their tummies to trick drivers by the roadside and get their accomplices to rob them when they pick them”- she said.
