Mike Tyson To Open 40-acre Cannabis Resort
Mike Tyson plans to open his own 40-acre cannabis resort now that weed has been officially legalised in California.
The former boxer has got green on his mind with his new project idea ‘Tyson Ranch’.
On December 20, he began construction in a remote desert near Edwards Air Force Base, in California City, CA, and was joined by business partners Robert Hickman and Jay Strommen, as well as city mayor Jennifer Wood.
Hickman told The Blast that the ‘undeveloped lands are primed to be cultivated’.
Half of the ranch will be dedicated towards cultivation facilities that ‘will allow master growers to have maximum control of their environment’, and will also feature a hydro-feed plant and supply store, extraction facilities, an edible factory, premium ‘glamping’ campgrounds and cabins, and an amphitheater.
Tyson has been a longtime believer in the healing properties of marijuana and hopes that his ranch will help with medical research surrounding the plant.
The 51-year-old aims to employ men and women who have served in the armed forces and even wants to open a Tyson Cultivation School, which will teach people how to produce and perfect the strains.
