MINISTER OKAYS KEJETIA PROJECT
MINISTER OF Local Government, Hajiya Alima Mahama, has expressed her satisfaction with the level of works done at the Kejetia Terminal, so far.
According to him, Contracta, the Brazilian contractors engaged by government to construct the project, had done a professional work.
“I am impressed” she said, adding that “I am so happy about the impressive edifice that we have here at Kejetia”.
Hajiya Alima Mahama was speaking after she was taken on a tour of the project, which is almost complete.
Prior to the tour, the minister had sworn into office a five-man board, tasked to manage the Terminal.
The Kejetia Board is headed by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Chief Executive, Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi.
Hon. Assibey, on behalf of the Board, assured that they would work assiduously so that the Project would last long for future generations to benefit from.
Nana Agyenim Boateng, the Assntehene’s representative on the Board, also assured that proper maintenance would be upheld to make the project last long.
