Minister okays Kumasi International Airport Project
THE ASHANTI Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, insists quality work is being executed on the Kumasi International Airport project.
He stated emphatically that “I am not a technical person, but after careful study, you can see that indeed a professional work had been done”.
The Ashanti Regional Minister gave his approval for the ongoing project when he toured the Kumasi International Airport project site for inspection.
Osei Mensah commended the contractors for “a good job done” at the site so far, indicating that he was highly impressed about their output.
The Ashanti Regional Minister disclosed that contractors on site have made him aware that “the construction work is 85 percent complete now”.
Osei Mensah said the contractors should not get swollen headed over his positive remarks about their work output, saying “sustain your good works”.
He also entreated the contractors to complete the ‘mighty’ project on time so that traveling would be easier and businesses would be transformed.
“This is an international airport project which would definitely open Kumasi to attract investors and improve transportation”, he pointed out.
Osei Mensah added that “I have been informed that the terminal building would be ready latest by the end of this year (2021), by the contractors.
According to the Ashanti Regional Minister, there would be a simulation exercise to test the readiness of the new facility before being opened to the public.
