The Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr. Simon Osei Mensah, has urged US-based Ghanaian businessmen to invest in the Ashanti Region and in Ghana as whole in order to recoup huge profits later in future.
According to him, the government of Ghana under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has introduced several pragmatic policies to promote the growth of foreign businesses in Ghana.
Addressing scores of Ghanaians at a mammoth business forum organized by the Asanteman Association of Denver in Colorado, USA, Mr. Mensah said the One District One Factory, Planting for Food and Jobs and other programmes were fertile grounds for proper business.
‘’I urge that we take advantage of the business climate the NPP government has created back home in Ghana and invest in some of the initiatives so that together we can build up businesses that will be mutually beneficial to our peoples’’, Mr. Mensah encouraged.
The Ashanti Regional Minister therefore implored Ghanaians in the Diaspora, especially in the US, to quickly take advantage of the policies and benefit from them.
He said, “President Akufo-Addo believes in small businesses being given a cushion by the state so that they can grow into mighty companies and that is what he is doing now.”
He stated that any Ghanaian in the Diaspora who shows interest and invests in government’s policies would be given massive support to thrive.
Highlighting some prospects in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Mensah said the region was not just blessed with good climate and vast lands but also has human resource potentials.
“No one comes to Ashanti to start something and fail because the very people with their spirit supports initiatives to thrive,” he stated.
