President Nana Akufo-Addo says ministerial reshuffle is not the urgent thing needed by his government to achieve the promises made to Ghanaians.
The President believes his appointees have been up to task, performing better to his satisfaction, therefore there’s absolutely no need to engage in such move.
Speaking on North Star radio in Tamale, President Akufo-Addo said those calling on him to reshuffle his appointees are members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) who want to destabilize his government.
He also believes that some members of the NPP who need jobs are behind similar calls and he will not fall for such ulterior motives.
“Many of them for me have done outstanding work. Their output has been considerable, and that is what I look at. If the output measures expectations, then I don’t have any strong reasons to heed the call,” President Akufo-Addo said.
He added, “The calls come for all kinds of reasons; NDC wanting to destabilise the government is one. There are people who are also looking for jobs.”
