A GROUP of angry young people have infamously set a speeding car, which knocked and killed two innocent people at Sokoban Krofrom in Kumasi on Thursday, on fire.
The two dead people are Akua Agyeiwaa, who is said to 35 years old and Foster Amo, 52. Their lifeless bodies have since been deposited in the mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
According to eyewitnesses reports, the two aforementioned people were walking on the shoulder of the road when the speeding car suddenly knocked them down.
Akua Agyeiwaa, reportedly, died on the spot and Amo, who suffered severe facial wounds, was rushed to the hospital, where he gave up the ghost later on.
The accident vehicle was, reportedly, being chased by a security car, and it (car) suddenly veered from main road and knocked down two people, leading to their deaths.
What compelled the so-called security operatives to give the driver of the unregistered salon vehicle a wild chase was not immediately known by THE NEW PUBLISHER.
According to eyewitnesses reports, the vehicle was coming from a the Sokoban direction as it was being hotly chased by another car, said to be a security vehicle.
They said they suspected the driver of the car, lost control of the steering wheel when he got to Sokoban Krofrom, resulting in the bloody accident.
According to them, the driver of the vehicle, after realizing that his car had killed two people, ran to some policemen at the accident for cover.
The driver’s action, certainly helped to save his life. But his vehicle was not spared by the angry mob, who burnt it into ashes in a matter of few minutes time.
