MP Donates To Muslims
MUSLIMS IN the Ashanti Region have taken delivery of assorted food items from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Subin, Eugene Boakye Antwi.
The items included bags of rice and sugar, expected to help the Muslims community to properly participate in 30 days fasting.
Hon. Eugene Boakye Antwi presented the items to the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, Sheikh Abdul Mumin on Friday.
Speaking with the media, the Subin lawmaker stated that he is aware that the 30 days Ramadan fasting of Muslims is approaching.
He explained that as he has been doing during every Ramadan period, he decided to donate food items to Muslims in the region to support them.
Hon. Boakye Antwi said it is his hope that the upcoming Ramadan fasting would bring immense blessings from Allah on Ghana and its people.
He appealed to the Muslims to pray for President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia to sustain their good works for the country.
Sheikh Abdul Mumin, the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, on his part, praised Boakye Antwi for always supporting Muslims in the region.
Early on, Hon. Boakye Antwi had donated similar food items to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Kumasi to help them fast for 30 days.
