MP Weeps Over Bad Roads
THE NEW Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama Constituency, Hon. Daniel Okyem Aboagye, is virtually in tears over the bad state of roads in his area.
According to him, about 64 percent of the roads in Bantama have been destroyed, rendering vehicular movement in his constituency very difficult.
Sounding very tearful over the issue, the lawmaker accused the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) of being the cause of the bad roads at Bantama since, according to him, the NDC, whilst in political power for eight years, did not construct even a kilometer of road in his constituency.
The sad development, he lamented, had led to a large part of the road network impassable.
“The NDC government, as noted of them, neglected Bantama for eight years and that is the cause of the bad roads in the constituency.
“The bad roads are adversely affecting businesses and other activities since the people cannot move freely as they would wish to do”, he cried.
Hon. Okyem Aboagye, an outspoken MP, also accused the NDC administration of discriminating against the people of the Ashanti region.
He assured residents that the NPP administration, led by Nana Akufo-Addo, would soon address the bad roads problems facing the people in the region.
