MTN Ghana and Business World will host corporate leaders within the technology and financial sectors of Ghana’s economy at the 23rd edition of the MTN Business World Executive Breakfast meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for the 5th of July, 2018 at the Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel in Accra.
The event under the theme, ‘Is Block Chain Technology the future of financial services?’ seeks to explore the controversy of digital currency. It also seeks to uncover the disruption the block chain technology may have on mobile financial services and other sectors including the music industry, healthcare, legal and governance.
The discussion will be done by personalities with extensive experiences within the technology and financial sectors of the economy. They include:
- Mr. Eli Hini -General Manager for Mobile Financial Services (MFS), MTN Ghana. A Chartered Marketer with over 17 years’ experience serving in various leadership positions in MTN Ghana, Unilever Ghana Limited and Coca-Cola Bottling Company Limited.
- Prof. Nii Quaynor- Chairman, Ghana DOT COM, an internet pioneer and chairman of the company that introduced the first crypto coins in Africa. He also played a crucial role in the introduction and advancement of the internet throughout Africa.
- Kobina Hughes- Managing Partner Collingwoode. He is a lawyer and a block Chain expert. He served as Head of Commercial Law and Procurement at the Greater London Authority and Senior Lawyer with Ofgem (the gas and electricity markets economic regulator). He also worked as the Principal Officer, Monitoring and Regulation at the Volta River Authority (VRA).
Commenting on the forum, as to what participants are to expect, the Ag.
