MTN Plans Otumfuo 20 Years Anniversary

TELECOMMUNICATION GIANT, MTN, has formed a committee to plan a befitting programme to mark the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s 20 years anniversary on the throne.

Even though the anniversary is one year away, MTN officials have started preparations towards the event.

This was disclosed by Mr. Ebenezer Asante, MTN Vice President for South East Africa and Ghana, when he led a high powered delegation to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Friday.

According to him, MTN had received uncountable support, in the form of admonishment and others, from the Asantehene, which had contributed to the company’s transformation.

He took advantage of the visit to the Manhyia Palace to introduce the new CEO of MTN Ghana, Selorm Adadevor, to the Asantehene and other traditional leaders that were present.

The delegation also presented a cash of GH¢20,000 to the Otumfuo Charity Foundation, which supports needy people in society.
