The Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak, is seeking to drag the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, the Bank of Ghana Governor, Ernest Addison before Parliament over recent happenings.
According to Muntaka Mubarak, who is also the Member of Parliemnt for Asawase the invitation will afford the legislators the opportunity to ask questions on some critical issues of concern to them.
The lawmaker upon other matters is also seeking for the head of Securities and Exchange Commission, Rev. Ogbamey Tetteh to as well appear before the House.
Speaking after the Majority Leader presented the Business Statement for the First Sitting of the Second Meeting of Parliament after the Easter holidays, Muntaka Mubarak said the mentioned names must appear before the House to provide clarity on the findings of recent bank agitations as well as issues surrounding the limited registration exercise.
Responding to the issues, Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu pointed out that some aggrieved Ghanaians are already in court over the limited registration exercise as well as the challenges confronting some depositors but gave the assurance that the leadership will engage the respective officials to update the house if need be.
