The seminar, dubbed ‘Music Connect’ under the theme, “Bridging the Gap”, hosted 16 unheard artistes.
The first section of the seminar was interactive and discursive. The second section, however, had participants divided into groups to solve some practical questions as musicians. At the end of the seminar, knowledge was acquired and the participants felt fulfilled, as experts were employed to react to all questions from the artistes to help them comprehend what music business entailed.
The CEO of Music Oonnect, Miss Konama Gyan, said even though it was the maiden edition, she was impressed with the turnout and everything that transpired.
“I and the team are overwhelmed with the turnout and how the seminar was conducted. Our seminar was a bit different from the ordinary seminars people do have. Ours was more of practical, more conversational and interactive. We had the best guests to handle issues and to speak to our participants on the day.
”We had the seminar in two sections, the first was interactive and the second was where we divided the participants into groups to discuss practical questions. At the end, we had our aims archived.
”And going forward, we are going to work with these sixteen acts for the next 6 months where we will create platforms for them to showcase their talents to the world, connect them to well established record labels, and out them at the world market” she said.
The workshop employed the services of experienced music persons in Ghana, such as Halifax Ansah Addo, Kojo Preko Dankwa, Hubert Kofi -Anti ( Ubeatz) and Kofi Boachie-Ansah, as Guest speakers.
