Muslim girls across the globe have been encouraged to preserve and work hard to achieve their dreams.
Ms. Hawa Muslim, a mentor with the Muslimah Mentorship Network, made this known in a mentoring session with students of the Tuba Islamic Senior High School in Accra.
According to Ms. Muslim, Muslim women struggle to excel in education, social lives and spiritual growth due to societal challenges. She urged them to focus on their studies and push past the challenges to become the women they dream to be.
The headmaster of the school Musah Yakub Banso entreated the network to expand its reach and mentor boys too.
He said, mentoring boys will have a positive impact since it will empower them to understand and promote the interest of girls.
The girls were taken through a one-on-one mentoring session with the mentors.
The Muslimah Mentorship Network is a group of young Muslim women who mentor girls in some communities in Ghana, to help girls make informed choices and realise their fullest potential.
