My Friends All Neglected Me When Was Depressed – David Oscar

Ghanaian comedian – turned musician, David Oscar Dogbe has disclosed that his unfortunate situation of depression years ago was very bad, that as well led him into doing music from the comedy career.

In an interview with Jessica Opare-Saforo on the Traffic Avenue on Citi 97.3 FM, the musician said he went through a lot which he even lost his girlfriend during that period.

“See I went through a lot, it wasn’t easy at all. I was confused, I couldn’t think. Every individual at my end lost interest in me. I went through a lot. It took me very long time to put things into rightful perspective” – he stated.

Since his exit from Stand-up comedy into music, there have been a couple of comedians who have assumed several accolades to dignify their trade.
Comedian Derrick Kobina Bonney aka DKB, for example, is affectionately called the ‘King of GH Comedy.’ According to DKB, the title was conferred on him by ace satirist Kwaku Sintim-Misa, who until the conferral of his ‘kingship’ was the King of Stand-up Comedy.

He added not even his friends he had close relationship and friendship called to find out how his condition was when he was not down. Adding that he was neglected because of his tendentious nature.
