MYSTERIOUS DEATH IN KUMASI

THERE IS an uneasy calm at Krobo-Odumase, near Kumasi, where the death of a man has sparked fear among residents.

The deceased, who eye witnesses have identified as Kofi Owusu, 40, was found hanging on a rope in a veranda on Thursday dawn.

The tongue of the dead man was protruding when it was found by some residents, eye witnesses disclosed to THE PUBLISHER.

They said the manner at which the body was found hanging gives suspicion that he must have been murdered by some people.

They said nothing at the crime scene gave a clue that Owusu personally ended his life in that bizarre manner.

“There was no suicide note at the crime scene and nothing showed that the man committed suicide so we suspect foul play.

“We are therefore appealing to the police to thoroughly investigate the matter so that the killers would be nabbed”, some of the residents said.

According to them, another person was also killed in the same neighbourhood some few days ago, and that had heightened their suspicion.

The residents, who demanded anonymity, said they were filled with fear over the strange deaths, and urged the police to try and arrest the killers.
