President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has ordered for flags across the country to be flown at half-mast following the demise of former president Jerry John Rawlings.
In addition, he has declared seven days of national mourning.
These presidential orders were contained in a statement from the Jubilee House signed by the President.
About Rawlings’ death
Former President, Jerry John Rawlings passed on Thursday, November 12, 2020.
He died at the Cardiothoracic Centre of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
Sources say the former President has been battling with his ill-health over the past few weeks.
Mr. Rawlings buried his late mother Madam Victoria Agbotui in October 2020.
Madam Agbotui died at the age of 101.
