President Akufo-Addo over the weekend commissioned the Ghana Office of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), at a ceremony at the Kempinski Hotel, in Accra.
The establishment of the JETRO Ghana Office is one of the fruits of the President’s official visit to Japan, some three (3) years ago.
Toyota Tsusho, one of the companies Nana Addo engaged with, in that visit to Japan, has established an assembly plant in Ghana.
The JETRO Ghana Office, which has been duly staffed and resourced, is an important development towards deepening our economic co-operation with Japan.
It provides a permanent administrative mechanism for strengthening bilateral dialogue and cooperation on trade, investment and private sector development programmes between Japan and Ghana.
