Nana Addo Should Resign — Top NDC man Yells
A LEADING member of the largest opposition political party in the country, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwaku Boahen, has asked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to resign from political office for breaching his political oath by lying to Ghanaians with his ‘One District, One Factory’ programme.
“I suggest that President Nana Akufo-Addo should resign because he lied to Ghanaians, who voted him into office, that he had started a ‘One District, One Factory programme, which is palpable false.
“After cutting the sword at Ekumfi for the first factory amid pomp and pageantry, Nana Akufo-Addo and his government abandoned the policy, which they made so much noise about.
“Now the place that they cut the sword and made so much noise about has been turned into a forest and this is a serious offense. If it was to be in the Western World, Nana Akufo-Addo would have resigned by now”, he said.
Boahen also described the President as a corrupt person who, within one year in office, bought two flashy Mercedes Benz cars at a staggering cost of GH¢2 million each with state funds.
The Deputy National Communication Director of the NDC also claimed that President Akufo-Addo has also ordered for his private house in Accra to be renovated with state funds.
In an interview with UTV’s Kwaben Antwi Bosiako, the outspoken NDC communicator said: “This current NPP administration is corrupt and President Akufo-Addo is the leader of the corrupt acts”.
