On Monday, 4 June 2018, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo accepted an invitation to attend the 80th anniversary celebration of the Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC), Legon.
The Headmistress and alumni of the school, led by Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye, were at the Presidency to invite the president.
PRESEC was founded in 1938, under the auspices of the Presbyterian Church of the Gold Coast.
The forebearer of the original idea for the school was the Basel missionary’s Reverend Nicholas Timothy Clerk (1862 – 1961) who served as the first Synod Clerk of the Presbyterian Church of the Gold Coast from 1918 to 1932.
The school has ties with its sister school, Aburi Girls’ Senior High School.
