The Israeli Ambassador to Ghana, Ami Mehl has stated that President Akufo-Addo’s resolve to move Ghana from aid to trade with development partners will positively shape the mindset of investors who want to do business in the country.
President Akufo-Addo has in recent times emphasized the need for Ghana to move from begging to adding value to the country’s natural resources for export.
Reacting to the move by the President, the Israeli Ambassador to Ghana Ami Mehl maintained that Ghana has the potential to develop the country through trade and not aid.
“I have been in Ghana for a few years and I have always said that Ghana is in a good position to always trade. Trade will bring cooperation and development,” he said.
He spoke to Citi Business News during the opening ceremony of Comsec ultra-modern showroom in Adabraka.
Touching on Comsec, the ambassador stated that Israeli investors have always invested in the country.
He stated that, Comsec is an example of an Israeli company that is ready to invest in the security sector.
Comsec is involved in the sale of modern CCTV cameras and car accessories.
