Nana Better Than Mahama – Chairman Wontumi

PRESIDENT NANA Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s one-and-half-years in political office has been described as very successful, compared to the National Democratic Congress’ (NDCs) eight years in political office.

Bernard Antwi Boasiako, affectionately called ‘Wontumi’, Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman, who made the observation, stated that “Nana Akufo-Addo was chosen by God to rescue Ghana”.

According to him, the country was on the brink of collapse ahead of the 2016 presidential and parliamentary election because the NDC had totally mismanaged the country for eight years.

Wontumi stated that Ghana would have been plunged into total mess and destruction had the NDC, led by ex-President John Dramani Mahama, retained political power in 2016.

“God chose Nana Akufo-Addo to win the 2016 national election in order to save the country from the path of destruction that Mr. Mahama and his incompetent administration was leading the country to.

“I bet you, Ghana would have been like hell by now had the super-incompetent John Mahama been retained as our president in 2016”, he said during an interview with Kwame Adinkra of Abusua FM.

Wontumi said apart from banishing ‘dumsor’, the NPP administration had also introduced the free Senior High School (SHS) policy, reduced light bills, restored teachers and nursing trainee allowance, just to mention a few.

He noted that the current administration also created jobs for the youth through NABCO, and insisted that it was God, who made Akufo-Addo president to save the country from the mess that the NDC had put it into.
