Accompanied by some top lieutenants in his administration, the President would use the duration of the campaign tour to appeal for votes in the region.
The Ashanti Region, without doubt, is the stronghold of the ruling NPP as the party has continually amassed a huge chunk of votes in the region during polls.
The party, as usual, is determined and counting on the Ashanti Region to give them a sizeable number of votes to help them to retain political power.
In this regard, President Nana Akufo-Addo would be touring the region with some of his trusted government officials to help woo more votes.
Otumfuo Visit
As part of the campaign tour, the President and his delegation would storm the Manhyia Palace today (Monday) to address a durbar of Asanteman.
The President would use the durbar, which would be chaired by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to talk about some his achievements in the region.
He would also explain to the gathering why the electorates should vote massively for the NPP again during the presidential and parliamentary elections.
