ALL ROADS in Kumasi, capital of the Ashanti Region, led to the plush-looking Rattray Park Dome on Saturday evening.
A grand birthday party was being held in the Garden City for Ing Nana Poku Agyeman, who is very popular and adored by the people.
Guests from various backgrounds including traditional leaders, notably Otumfuo Apagyahene, Nana Owusu Afriyie were at the Rattray Park for the celebration.
Also in attendance was the Minister of Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’, the clergy, ministers of state, MMDCEs and others.
Also, business tycoons such as Osei Kwame Despite, Ofori Sarpong, Nana Kwame Bediako aka ‘Chada’ and other well-to-do personalities were there.
Popular police officer, COP Kofi Boakye, Richard Adjei Mensah Ofori Atta aka ‘Tomtom’, Nana Owusu Prempeh and Edmund Kyei were also there.
The birthday ‘boy’, who turned 40 years on Friday, April 8, 2022, is the current Kumasi Urban Roads Director.
Three straight days; Friday, Saturday and Sunday, were used to celebrate the milestone in Ing Poku Agyeman’s life.
It started with a mini birthday bash at Ing Nana Poku’s plush-looking mansion at Atasemanso near Paraku Estate on Friday.
The main birthday party, which attracted the crime-de-la-crème in business and politics in the country, was then held on Saturday evening.
The three days merrymaking event, which was very well attended, was then climaxed with a church service and lunch on Sunday.
During the main birthday party at the Rattray Park, virtually all the big personalities in the country were present to celebrate the top engineer.
Virtually, all the speakers at the party, including Napo, prayed for sound health, long life and prosperity for Ing Poku Agyeman so he would achieve more for humanity.
The birthday boy, who looked cheerful, in his short address, thanked God for his mercies and blessings for him during the last four decades of his life.
He stated that he would continue to serve Asanteman and Ghana with all his energy and resources in order to make life better for the people.
Daughters of Glorious Jesus and other top musicians in the country were also present and they performed to entertain the attendants.
