Nana Raps Zongo Youth

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has advised Zongo youth to shun all lawless acts and be obedient to their leaders at all times.

He said the Zongo communities are blessed with respectable and intelligent leaders, and implored the youth to always listen to their advice.

“We are blessed as a country to have highly respectable, influential and intelligent leaders in our Zongo communities, who are playing key roles to transform Ghana.

“I will therefore entreat the youth to always listen to advice from their leaders in order to shape their lives and become responsible people in future”, he said.

According to him, the Zongo areas would be transformed if the youth heeded the advice of their leaders.

President Nana Akufo-Addo, who was addressing Zongo chiefs as part of his tour of the Ashanti region on Wednesday, said his government had elaborate policies and programmes to help improve the deprived Zongo communities.

“The Zongo areas are dear to my heart and I will do my best to transform the Zongos as the president of Ghana”, he said to cheers from his audience.

The Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, Sheikh Abdul Mumin Haroun, lauded the President for making good his campaign promises.

“I have observed President Nana Akufo-Addo for sometime now, and I have realised that he is a man who always stands by his words”.

The Chief Imam said the president is a trustworthy person and, therefore charged the people to always believe in whatever he says “because he will deliver”.
