EDMUND KYEI, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) First Vice Chairman for Asokwa constituency, has urged the citizenry to remain calm and support the NPP government, stressing that the Nana Akufo-Addo government would fulfill all its promises, especially in the road sector, very soon.
According to him, the delays in constructing some of the roads that have been earmarked for construction were occasioned by the mess created by ex-President Mahama.
“Mr. Mahama and his National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration were not truthful to Ghanaians and the NPP government before they left office.
“They left a huge debt behind in the road sector. Mr. Mahama, when he was president, continually lied to Ghanaians as if everything was right in the country.
“For instance, he intentionally lied that all the roads had been fixed but it was a big hoax as majority of roads in the country are in deplorable state”, he observed.
In an interview with THE NEW PUBLISHER, Kyei said the debt the NDC government left behind in the road sector had now figured out, and that the NPP administration is doing everything possible to clear everything debt for new projects to take off.
He assured that Hon. Amoako Atta, the Minister for Roads and Highways, is up to the task and would work assiduously to fix the country’s damaged roads soon.
