Nana Yaa Brefo, a co-host of the Badwam television morning show on Adom TV has announced her resignation from the Multimedia Group Limited.
She announced her resignation in a post on Instagram yesterday morning [May 17, 2020]. Sources say it was a voluntary move on her part.
Her exit however adds her to the list of staff from the Multimedia Group who have exited recently following a re-assignment of duties at the media firm.
This has either resulted in the termination of contracts of some with others having to resign.
In the Instagram post announcing her resignation, Nana Yaa Brefo wrote, ” I want to say a big thank you to Multimedia and my colleagues. Also my fans for the support really.”
Adding, she wrote she “really appreciate” and “also thank those who did not like me, you made me grow during my 10 years stay at Multimedia, (Adom TV). I bow out of Multimedia to follow other dreams. Thank you for being here.”
This comes barely a week after Ghanaian actress and media personality, Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku also announced her departure from the Multimedia Group Limited.
Naa Ashorkor, who hosted the radio programme Showbiz A-Z on Accra based Joy FM and a ladies talk show, Strong and Sassy on the same radio station, on Wednesday May 6, 2020 wrote on Facebook that her employers had terminated her appointment with immediate effect from Tuesday, May 5, 2020.
Describing the termination of her appointment as both good and bad news, Naa Ashorkor wrote: “I have got Good news and bad news everyone! With immediate effect as of yesterday, my now former employers, Multimedia Group, terminated my appointment. That’s the bad news.”
“Now for the good news, such situations only give my God the opportunity to show up.
“It’s not an easy time to be out of a regular and steady income. We are not in normal times, but hey, I would like to use this opportunity to encourage everyone who has lost their job or income during these difficult times to not lose hope,” she added.
“Hope is an amazing thing that gives us the ability to stand and trust God in such difficult circumstances. Don’t lose hope”
“Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans. I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
“Stay tuned for some more news soon,” she added.
