Napo Roots For Kotoko
MINISTER OF Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, aka ‘Napo’, has, for the first time, openly displayed his favourite football club in the country.
For sometime now people in the country, especially football fans, have been put in the dark, regarding Napo’s favourite football club. But for the first time, the minister, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South Constituency in Kumasi, finally put that issue to rest.
The handsome-looking minister was spotted wearing a replica jersey of Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Accra Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Clad in a red jersey of his favourite club, the Porcupine Warriors, as they locked horns with arch rivals,Hearts of Oak in a cagey encounter, he was seen cheering the Kumasi-based club to victory.
Kotoko, who were backed by their teeming red army fans, massacred Hearts of Oak 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 drawn game.
The minister, and the rest of the Kotoko fans, most of whom had travelled from Kumasi to Accra, could not hide their joy at the end of the encounter.
According to reports, some of the Kotoko fans celebrated and followed the MP to his vehicle, chanting ‘Napo, Napo’ after the proceedings.
