IT WAS fun galore when a mega street party was organized at Ash Town, a suburb in the Manhyia South Constituency in Kumasi, on Sunday afternoon.
Nana Owusu Afriyie Prempeh, a brother of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, nicknamed as ‘Napo’, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) vice presidential candidate, organized the party.
The party saw scores of merrymaking people, including women and children being served with drinks and food.
Nana Owusu, who contested the Manhyia South NPP parliamentary election but lost the bid, said the party was his own way of showing appreciation to the persons who supported his bid and he party at large.
More importantly, Nana Owusu stated emphatically that the party would also serve as a platform for him to announce their unflinching support for the winner of the parliamentary primaries, Lawyer Agyei Baffour.
“The election is over, and I’m appealing to all my supporters to start campaigning harder than ever in order to ensure a smooth electoral victory for the NPP in December.
“Don’t forget that the NPP vice presidential candidate, Napo is my blood brother and it’s our duty to honour him and Dr. Bawumia with a resounding win”.
Nana Owusu also entreated the NPP members and sympathizers to unite as one people with a common destiny so that the party’s resolve to retain power would become a reality.
