The Management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has extended the deadline for the 2018/2019 service year registration to June 20, 2018.
Management, therefore, urged all prospective National Service Personnel (NSP), who for varied reasons had not yet completed their registration processes, to take advantage of the extension and do so to avoid being locked out.
A statement issued by the Public Affairs Directorate implored all prospective Service Personnel who do not have any form of valid Identification for registration to visit any SSNIT office across the country for Social Security and National Insurance Trust Card (SSNIT) to obtain one to enable them go through NSS registration without difficulties.
Management further directed all prospective NSP who had challenges with their registration, to contact their respective NSS Regional Secretariats across the country or the Head Office for direction and assistance.
Management reminded all prospective NSP that the Scheme would continue to carry out validation of all personnel who had gone through the registration process and those found to have impersonated others would be prosecuted.
