The 2020 Parliamentary Aspirant for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called for peace in the Okaikwei Central Constituency even after the December elections.
According to Abdul Rashid Issah, peace is a crucial element in the development of the Constituency.
“I pledge to peace and will not encourage violence in this constituency…let’s think about our parents, the weak, sick women and children” he said.
Mr. Issah made the promise at a Parliamentary Debate organized by the Okaikwei North Office of the National Commission For Civic Education (NCCE).
Chairman for the event and Chief of Abeka, Nii Boi IV said both the NDC and NPP are one people, the reason peace must lead them in all their endeavours especially after the polls.
Mrs. Vivienne Achel, the Municipal NCCE Director, said the programme was to offer the electorates the opportunity to assess the programs and policies of the parliamentary candidates in the lead up to the elections.
Mr. Issah outlined his vision on health, education, employment and how he would tackle the three most important needs of the constituency namely-education, sanitation and human development.
Mr. Patrick Yaw Awuku, the Communications Officer of the Constituency representing the incumbent Member of Parliament, Patrick Yaw Boamah said the Constituency under the MP has had its fair share of developmental projects.
