NDC Chairman Chased with Blows During Party Meeting
A TOP National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communicator in Kumasi, Ivan Bilson Yeboah, has been suspended indefinitely from the party for allegedly manhandling the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party, Mr. Yaw Obimpeh.
Raymond Tandoh, the Regional NDC Scribe, who disclosed this, said Yeboah violently attacked Mr. Obimpeh in the presence of other NDC executives.
He noted that the party’s executives and other members, who were present at the meeting, were stunned when Bilson attacked Obimpeh.
“He was restrained by other party members that were present at the meeting but his violent action calls for an immediate punitive measure against him.
“The disciplinary committee of the NDC in the region has therefore decided to suspend him indefinitely to serve as a deterrent to other party members”.
In a related development, reports are rife that branch elections of the NDC in many parts of the region have been hit with confusion and suspicion, with party leaders being accused of hiding the party register, which was to be used for the polls.
