An aspiring Deputy General Secretary in the just-ended NDC National Executive Elections Kojo Adu-Asare has threatened to sue the party.
Kojo Adu-Asare’s threat comes as a result of his name changed to Justice Yeboah on the ballot paper. He attributed his inability to win to the name change and for that has vowed to sue the party.
The National Democratic Congress over the weekend held its national delegates at the Trade Fair to elect executives who will lead the party in its quest to unseat the governing New Patriotic Party in the 2020 general elections.
Chairman of the Planning Committee Alex Segbefia confidently asserted that by the time the new executives are ready to go through another delegates elections, the NDC will be the government in power.
About 15,000 people, made up of 9,350 delegates and 5,650 observers, throng the premise to decide the fate of the 65 candidates vying for various positions.
However Peter Boamah Otukonor and Barbara Serwaa won the slot as deputy general secretaries to help Johnson Asiedu Nketia as the party seeks to reorganize itself to face the rather formidable Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party in 2020 general election.
It is still not clear whether Mr Adu-Asare will back his words with action.
