NDC Congress: Sammy Gyamfi Beats Fred Agbenyo
Samuel Gyamfi, has won the National Communications Officer position over Fred Agbenyo of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC], after beating off competition from Fred Agbenyo.
The outspoken member of the party polled as much as 6,225 votes, as against Fred Agbenyo’s 2,069, according to provisional figures.
Young Sammy has been an active member of the Communications team of the NDC over the past few years, and is known for representing the party on some major media platforms.
He has represented the interest of the NDC at various levels, from the student front to Regional and National portfolios.
He was President of the Tertiary Education Network (TEIN) of the NDC at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) from the year 2011 to 2012.
Sammy Gyamfi has within a short time shot into the limelight and endeared the hearts of many NDC delegates due to his exhibition of maturity in political communication.
With youthful dynamism and innovation, the young chap is said to have well represented the party at various levels especially in the media, something that gave him an urge over Fred Agbenyo.
Many members of the NDC, especially the youth, believe Sammy who was recently called to the Ghana Bar, has the wherewithal to match the NPPs newly appointed Communications Director Yaw Buabeng Asamoah.
