NDC Elections: Ade Coker Retains Chairmanship Seat

Greater Accra Regional Chairman for the opposition National Democratic Congress, Joseph Kobinna Ade Coker has retained his position following a closely contested elections held on Saturday, September 1, 2018.

At the end of the election, Ade Coker won the election with 319 votes whiles his closest opponent got 293 by name Daniel Amarey Mensah out of the 1009 votes cast with one rejected ballot.

Over 1,000 delegates converged at the Central Cafeteria of the University of Ghana to elect regional officers who would steer the affairs of the party in the 2020 general elections.

Ade Coker’s competitors, Daniel Amartey, Yahya Kundow and Ashlie-Moore polled 293, 113 and 283 respectively.

In the same, former Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, Theophilus Tetteh Chaie beat his closest competitor Victor Quarshie by 256 votes to emerge as the Greater Accra Regional Secretary.
