NDC Flagbearership Race: Alabi Picks Nomination Form
Prof. Joshua Alabi has picked up his nomination forms at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party headquarters today despite a petition to the party Council of Elders to reduce the filing fee.
The petition to the NDC Council of Elders by 8 of the Presidential aspirants is yet to receive response making it unknown if there’ll be a change in the GH¢420,000 being charged for the nomination and filing fees.
Barring any last minute changes the two day window for aspirants to pick the forms will close today with only ex President John Mahama so far having his forms picked up for him by some of his supporters in the Asawase constituency of the Ashanti Region on Monday.
According to our sources, the forms was picked by supporters of Joshua Alabi in the early hours of today at the party head office in Accra.
The nomination forms is being sold for GH¢20,000. The filing fee has been pegged at GH¢400,000. The NDC’s presidential primary is slated for 19 January 2019.
