THE DEPUTY National Coordinator for GEEDA during the National Democratic Congress (NDC) era, Alhaji Alhassan Tapsoba, has made some interesting revelations as to how the sanitation module of the agency suffered some mountainous problems when the NDC was in political office.
Tapsoba, who is very outspoken, admitted that there was lack of monitoring for GEEDA during NDCs era, stressing that administrative lapses actually led to serious problems such as lack of proper staff data, and payment for no work done.
“The sanitation module of GEEDA caused the NDC problems because we failed in the area of monitoring and this paved way for our troubles”.
Speaking on Nhyira FM, Alhaji Tapsoba said he strongly supports the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government’s plans to sanitize the sanitation module.
“The renewal of staffs contract should be based on performance and I support the NPP’s call to bring sanity to the sanitation module of the now Youth Employment Agency”.
He opined that what the NPP government wants to introduce would go a long way to help protect the national purse through proper monitoring “and I support them”.
