The National Democratic Congress has declared three days of mourning for Alhaji Ussifu Ali, ordering all party flags to be flied at half-mast.
The member of the party’s Council of Elder died in Accra last Thursday at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital after a short illness.
“The NDC wishes to declare three days of mourning in memory of our former leader. During this period, all party flags shall fly at half-mast,” a statement issued by the NDC stated.
According to the Party, he was buried Wednesday at the Kasoa Ahmahdiya Muslim Cemetery after a short ceremony at his residence in Tesano, Accra.
