FROM ALL indications, the Ashanti Regional branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is battle ready for an effective campaign for votes in the upcoming elections.
The Nana Kwasi Andrews, the NDC Regional chairman and his team, have branded the front view of the Ashanti Regional NDC office at Amakom with a huge banner to display their readiness for the polls.
The huge green banner has the beautiful pictures of the NDC 2020 presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama and his running mate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang boldly on it.
It also has a bold inscription that reads “NDC Ashanti Congratulates John and Jane”. Significantly, the huge banner has also given the NDC Ashanti regional office a sublime look now.
Scores of NDC members that have seen the big banner on social media platforms such as facebook and WhatsApp, have heaped tons of praises on the NDC Ashanti Regional executives for a good job done.
They particularly lauded the NDC regional chairman, Nana Kwasi Andrews, for being a proactive leader. According to them, the banner is an indication that the NDC is ready for massive campaign.
Some of the NDC members boldly stated that the NDC would campaign and win more votes in the Ashanti region on December 7, thereby helping John Mahama to win the 2020 elections.
According to them, they have strong trust in Nana Akwasi Andrews and his executives to win avalanche of votes for the NDC in the Ashanti region, in order to prevent the NPP from retaining power.
NPP CELEBRATES
In a related development, the Ashanti Regional NPP, led by Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka ‘Wontumi’, insists that the December 7 polls is a done deal for the ruling party so they have started celebrations already.
Wontumi, in a video circulating on social media, said the NPP achieved its target during the just ended voters registration exercise so victory has been assured for the party ahead of the polls.
The NPP chairman, who was surrounded by his executives, in the video, popped champagne as he jubilated and thanked God for granting the party victory, four months to the day of elections.
Wontumi said the old voters register in the Ashanti Region was bloated by the NDC with ghost names. He said the NPP has worked hard to remove the ghost names from the old register this time around.
