THE OPPOSITION National Democratic Congress (NDC) has taken a firm decision to tour the country and thoroughly explain its manifesto to the electorates.
Dubbed ‘The People’s Manifesto’, the NDC officially launched the detailed-document in the national capital of Accra some few days ago, amid pomp and pageantry.
Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC Communications Officer, has stated that there is the need for the party to explain the content of the manifesto in the local dialects to the people.
In this regard, he announced that “We shall be touring the length and breadth of the country in the coming days and explain the manifesto in the local languages to the masses.
“We shall be starting from Kumasi with the town hall meetings and right from there, the NDC would be touring other communities in the country with this new policy.
“During the Kumasi version of the launch of the manifesto, we shall address the people in the Twi language and that would be the same scenario when we go to other areas”.
Sammy Gyamfi stated that the NDC has the best manifesto, ahead of the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections “and we only need to explain it well”.
According to him, the party contacted the various bodies and people before compiling the NDC manifesto therefore the NDC was able to produce a unique manifesto.
Sammy Gyamfi said the NDC manifesto virtually touched on all the sectors, needs and wants of the citizenry, therefore he believes the NDC would win the polls.
The NDC Communication Officer said the party only needs to properly explain the details of the manifesto in the local dialects “and we shall win the elections in the first round”.
