My new appointment guarantee competence in my work – Adutwum
Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum who replaces his former boss Mathew Opoku Prempeh at the Education Ministry in Akufo-Addo’s new administration has expressed joy over his new appointment.
Speaking in an interview with Joy News minutes after the list of new Ministers was released said his new role elevates and shows how competent he was in pushing for better works in the first term of President Akufo-Addo.
To him, the new role assigned to him by the President is a call to serve the people of Ghana and he intends doing it passionately.
“I was shock when I was told of the new role days ago by the President. I never expected it. It was as a surprise but all so – it shows that my work in President Akufo-Addo’s first term was seen with massive care. I am happy and expect a smooth process at vetting. I know they’ll stress me a bit but we are ready for it” he said.
In other Ministries, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh is now the Minister-designate for Energy while Dan Botwe who was the former Minister for Regional Reorganisation is now the Minister-designate for Local Government, Decentralisation & Rural Development.
Sarah Adwoa Safo who was the former Minister for Procurement will now head the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection.
