NEW BIKES FOR NADMO

The Ashanti Regional National Disaster and Management Organization (NADMO) have taken delivery of 78 brand new motorbikes to boost their operations.

Forty three of the motorbikes would be presented to NADMO offices across the districts within the Ashanti Region and the remaining 35 motorbikes would be given to Disaster Volunteer Groups in the region.

The presentation of the motorbikes by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government is intended to make NADMO and disaster volunteer groups mobile and more efficient in their delivery.

The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) Coordinating Director, Mrs. Emelia Ayebeng Botchwey, presented the motorbikes to Kwabena Nsenkyire, Ashanti Regional NADMO Director.

Mrs. Ayebeng Botchwey, in her short remarks, said the presentation of the motorbikes formed part of government’s efforts to properly equip NADMO so they could work effectively.

NADMO, she said, plays crucial roles in making society better, indicating that NADMO needs the support of all person to swiftly respond to disasters in communities.

Kwabena Nsenkyire, who was beaming with broad smiles, stated that the motorbikes would go a long way to impact positively on the work of NADMO and its partners.

He said the brand new motorbikes would make NADMO mobile and respond quickly to distress calls, assuring that the motorbikes would be properly taken care of to ensure their longevity.
