DR. STEPHEN AMOAH, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Nhyiaeso Constituency in Kumasi, has opened an ultra-modern ‘Development Office’.
The office, among other things, is aimed at helping to accelerate the transformational processes of the constituency and help better the lives of the people.
To be opened on weekdays for people to report their concerns to their MP, the office is located at Paraku Estate, a plush-looking area in the constituency.
Dr. Amoah aka ‘Sticker’, opening the office said “this office will serve as a direct link between the residents of the constituency and their Lawmaker”.
According to him, he was elected d to be the MP for the entire Nhyiaeso Constituency therefore every resident is permitted to access the office anytime.
Sticker said he could not single-handedly lead Nhyiaeso into affluence, therefore the need for the citizenry to offer him the needed support always.
In this regard, he said he has also formed various committees made up of journalists, lawyers, doctors, chiefs and others, to offer him the needed support.
They are the Central Development Committee, Education Committee, Security Committee, Health Committee and the Environment Committee.
The rest are Youth Development Committee, Welfare Committee the Home Coming and Development Committee, who have all commenced their work.
Sticker explained that the constituency is faced with myriad of challenges so the committees are tasked to help him to address these specific problems.
He said his vision is to see Nhyiaso developing in the areas of education, health, security and the rest, so his people should give him the needed backing.
Mr. George Wireko-Brobby, the chairman for event, applauded the efforts of Sticker, who assumed the mantle of Nhyiaeso MP just seven months ago.
He said the opening of the development office and the inauguration of the committees, shows Sticker means business “so we should help him to succeed”.
