The National Investment Bank (NIB) has offered free database services to five (5) government institutions as part of their corporate social responsibility.
The move is aimed at making them efficient and abreast with current technological advancement.
The Bank bided for the contract for the provision of Supplier database for the Public Procurement Authority among five other institutions.
The service to the PPA however was free, saving the nation about $1,000,000) in costs.
Speaking to this paper at the International Press Center after the launch, the Deputy Managing Director of the Bank, Alfred Thompson indicated that the bank believes they could work together in partnership with the PPA and other agencies as a team.
He added that all stakeholders, no matter which sector one finds him or herself can work together to develop Ghana.
Mr. Thompson said the bank has also provided same service to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), the Ghana Water Company and would soon complete same arrangement with the Tema Development Corporation (TDC) and the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA).
He said “As partners of development, the corporate world can emulate our gesture and do same in their areas of operation to help accelerate the development agenda of the country”.
Mr. Thompson further said the bank has efficient system that is top standard to provide related services any institution or individual may need.
On the banking field, the Deputy MD stated that the bank has metamorphosed into a global player, with cutting edged products and services that meet both local and international needs.
He called on all stakeholders and the general public to make them their number one choice in business for success and sustained market superiority.
