Two Ghanaian Para-athletes Felix Acheampong and Botsyo Nkegbe, have been confirmed qualified to participate in upcoming Commonwealth games in the Gold Coast, Australia from 4th to 15th April, 2018.
This was contained in a letter addressed to the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) by the 2018 Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF).
Acheampong would compete in the T54 Marathon for the first time and Botsyo Nkegbe will also complete in the T54, 1500m.
The two athletes are currently undergoing nonresidential training in Accra and Kumasi respectively.
Meanwhile, it is expected that Charles Narh of powerlifting and Frederick Assor, Para cycling would also get their confirmation to boost their preparation.
