No Nonsense Ursula Fires Up For Victory

There was high level of excitement from leadership to party foot soldiers at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency office in Dansoman, Accra on Monday when about thirty-four planning committee members were unveiled as part of plans geared towards winning the 2020 general elections in the Ablekuma West constituency represented by the no nonsense lady, Ursula Owusu-Erkuful.

The Committee, Chaired by Mr. Samuel Bright Osei-Puni and includes Kwasi Ofori, Samuel Ayittey Tagoe, Fred Tetteh-Mills Wowolo, William Annor Adu, Kwaku Tabi Amponsah among others is aimed at retaining the parliamentary seat for Madam Ursula Owusu.

The Team is also tasked to gather more votes for the party’s Presidential candidate.

Vote NPP To Save Ghana

Communication Minister, Hon. Ursula Owusu-Erkuful indicated at the ceremony that it was important for the party members to start mobilizing themselves to help retain power in the 2020 election.

“First of all, I commend you for your efforts in 2016 which helped the party to win. Now it is time for us to retain power. Most of us have seen the unprecedented performance by the NPP.

“Just in close to three years, the benefits are enormous, so for this reason let us not sit aloof for our opponents to come and damage what we have started doing, although we have not met all your expectations,” she said.

According to her, the NPP government has implemented social intervention policies that are improving the lives of individuals in the country, citing the Free Senior High School policy, the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) which she says has employed over 100,000 youths and Planting for Food and Jobs which has benefited over 700,000 farmers.

“Nana Addo would get an enhanced margin of votes for the 2020 elections. What he has done deserves 4 more years to do more. When it comes to job, we have created it. Name it, work and pay taxi, driving school, hairdressing among others. The NPP government has done all this, we can’t leave the country for any other person(s) to come ruin our happiness. We deserve better.”

Intensify Campaign

NPP 2020 Campaign’s Deputy National Chairman, Lord Commey, on his side urged the party executive members in the constituency to intensify their campaigns for the party to not only retain the parliamentary seat, but also increase the presidential votes in the 2020 general election.

“Everyone here has to renew their commitment to the party, it’s very necessary. Despite the fact that, they’ll be leaders, we all have roles to play. Everyone seated here has a major role to play. There should be a victory for Ursula Owusu and His Excellency Nana Addo  Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“We have a very big responsibility to play. Ghanaians are relying on us, the NPP. They have believed us, they’ve seen our good works for continuation. We moving from home to home, venue to venue to campaign massively. The time starts now.”

He continued: “Ablekuma West Campaign would be the sweetest of all, whatever would be needed is ready to be provided, retail campaigns of this nature needs more work. What is needed more is the commitment level, we have to renew it properly as I said earlier. Now in Ghana, we don’t pay for water bills, electricity among others. This is what the ordinary people out there needs to hear more in order to retain the seat for the party”
