The election petition brought before the Supreme Court by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2020 Presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama will end up with nothing meaningful, Rev. Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah, General Overseer of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry has said.
To him, the opposition National Democratic Congress case will be booted out by the Supreme Court on Day 42.
He made this known addressing his congregation on the annual 31st Watch Night service in his church.
He said, “I saw the Supreme Court and a star sparkling on the Supreme Court. God took me into the courtroom and I saw a paper with NDC written on it. The paper was being blown in the courtroom and fire from heaven to burn the paper. God told me Nana Addo is his choice and that Supreme Court cannot change His mind and plan. So if NDC will listen to me, they shouldn’t go to court. They are going to waste money. I’m speaking under the authority of the Lord that nothing will come out of the election petition. The NDC should just listen to me and let go of that case”.
About the petition
The presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, filed a suit at the Supreme Court challenging the outcome of the 2020 polls.
In his petition to the Supreme Court, Mr. Mahama contended that the results declared by the Electoral Commission in favour of President Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party were “made arbitrarily, capriciously, and with bias.”
Mr. Mahama also feels “that the said declaration was made without regard to due process of law” and must be declared as null and void.
The NDC presidential candidate has decided not to concede in the just-ended polls because he believes President Akufo-Addo did not win the elections as announced by the Electoral Commission.
